My friends and I had a little culinary arts and crafts project last week with excess matzo from their Passover holiday. Use a double-broiler to heat melting chocolate wafers (avoid using chocolate chips — they don’t melt very well), or create your own by setting a mixing bowl above simmering water in a pot. Slather chocolate (milk, dark or white) on matzo, and add toppings. We emptied my snack and baking cabinets and went to town — pretzels, Oreo crumbles, sprinkles, Thin Mint crumbs, Craisins, marshmallows, etc. I apparently forgot about that whole kosher thing when suggesting we put chocolate-covered bacon on one of the slices. Oops!
